Absentia, is a word that doesn’t exist in the Portuguese language. It comes from latin and it means, literally, absence. Therefore, it is the perfect word for a movie that is about not being there.

This is the first movie I made since the beginning of the pandemic.
It’s the result of experiences, questions and reflections that this moment we are living imposed on us. In its form of production, the movie reproducts the social isolation we are all still subjected.
